Would love to see more examples of how brand activation can be used in the nonprofit world. It is one thing to try and influence people into buying widgets, but nonprofits are often looking to change behaviour, increase awareness and influence behaviour, without having something tangible like a drink or a toy to work with.

Thanks for watching Carla, great questions…actually we’re having success on that front with the Pawdcast

You have done a wonderful job with the Pawdcast, but I don’t think it would really classify as brand activation. I can think of lots of nonprofits who would do really well to consider this type of show (and I will be working on a couple of my clients in that regard!) but creating an experiential experience when you don’t have a product requires a lot of creativity – that is why I would love it if people could share ideas to get the creative juices flowing!

    Hi Carla,

Thanks for the feedback and in my mind the theory to brand activation does not change when you move to non-profits. Everything starts with understanding the drivers of the organization and how they match with the drivers of the community that engages with the non-profit. Just look at the Salvation Army video I show at the end of the Episode one. Not that the Salvation Army is a pure non profit but they are indeed not a regualr product or service, and I think they did a great job of engaging people with their store brand in Sweden.

Thanks for the comments on the show and I will keep the Non-profit aspect in mind as I develop new shows.
